What’s Next for Second City Brass!
Hi Everyone,
Last week’s concert was great. Thanks for all who came and made it possible. We are so appreciative! For those of you who didn’t make it, you missed out on some awesome music and probably the best food setup/after party we have ever seen.
“We all LOVED your concert. It’s amazing the power you guys have and the tone…. You guys MUST make a CD soon!
I still say the funniest part was Joel’s tuba solo of “I feel pretty!” Shoulders were rocking up and down in the audience as everyone tried to stifle those waves of giggles that suddenly came over them. I hope you can come back again soon.” - Karen Buccola of Central United Methodist Church in Skokie
So, after a very busy couple of weeks of great concerts, weddings and friends, SCB is gearing up for summer and getting ready to play in the lovely outdoors! We have a concert coming up in June at Julius Meinl and much more to come.
On that note: let us know if you need a group for a concert, party, event, celebration or wedding. We’d be happy to work with you!
Second City Brass to Perform at Central United Methodist Church in Skokie on May 1st at 7pm!

Also, hear our newest member of the group, trumpet player BJ Cord!

Great Performance at North Park Covenant
We had a great time, and I’ve heard from many who enjoyed the concert greatly. We on the Music Committee think that was the best concert we’ve had here in a LONG time. The program was nicely varied and the selections were played very well.
- Chuck Olson, Choir Director of North Park Covenant Church
The brass quintet’s program appealed to people of all ages, including standards as well as new repertoire for this intriguing ensemble. The audience’s eager participation in the Intermission’s Q & A was evidence of how listeners could relate to the presentation.
- Sharon Peterson, Music Director of North Park Covenant Church

Summer is here…
… or so we think! Summer in Chicago has been cold! But even so, SCB is getting involved in the community and playing for camps and other summer events. Check out events calendar for upcoming performances!
